Anandtech has a review up: http://www.anandtech.com/show/3621/amds-radeon-hd-5870-eyefinity-6-edition-reviewed/1

Almost no benefit for the 2gb even with 3 displays.

Yeah that surprised me...

I expected no change for single monitor resolutions, but I would have thought there would be some change 10%+ for 3x1 or higher Eyefinity setups.

Oh well, I have U2410's , so I want to run them all with DP connectivity so these new cards make it easy for me.

I find it a little bit aggravating that while they do include 5 adapters, you can't use them all at once, and not only that, even if you had 6 monitors, there aren't enough adapters in the box to be able to do 6 monitors out of the box, you need to buy more!

So will Ibrin's review be up today? I'm still interested to see the results but the other bunch of reviews pretty much stole the thunder and told me what I didn't want to hear: no improvement whatsoever at 2GB.

I'm still waiting to hear results from a widescreen enthusiast however. :rockout

your not going to see any improvement unless all the memory i getting used up... most of these reviews are 5760 x 1080.. 5760 x 1200 will actually use alot more memory, so that is one thing.. the other is the game itself as games use more and more memory you'll want 2 GB.. and yes it can make a huge diff in some circumstances such as

It's taking me a bit longer to write that what I anticipated (with the family and the day job as well). Hope to have it up tonight.

No regrets here about getting a vanilla 5870...at least not after seeing the benchmark results.

What intrigues me now is how well the new 5850 2GB from Sapphire might compete with a 5870 in triple-monitor gaming. To me the Eyefinity6 edition is too overengineered for a 3x1 display group but the new 5850 2GB has a great price, lower power consumption, but it also has the increased allotment of memory.
