Can I ask which Displayport adapter, if any, you guys are using since it seems like you are having no troubles?

Thanks

Here are the impressive results from 10.3 + DiRT2 in DX11 Ultra settings:

1600x1200 (I only bench in 4:3 for simplicity's sake) 4xAA/16xANISO
dirt2.exe -benchmark example_benchmark2.xml

10.2:
AVERAGE FPS: 60.93

10.3:
AVERAGE FPS: 71.27

0xAA/0xANISO

10.2:
AVERAGE FPS: 72.49

10.3:
AVERAGE FPS: 89.13

Amazing. Like I said in the other thread, I've been doing this automated benchmarking for 10 years with different games. Percentage wise, this is the biggest increase I've ever seen from one driver release for any game over that period of time. This leads me to believe one of two things:

1> Something is wrong with the driver and it isn't rendering everything correctly in DX11. I don't have any evidence of this, and obviously I hope it's not the case.
2> There were major performance gains to be had on the DX11 path. This would bode well for BFBC2. :D

The DX9 path did not realize any major change in performance, only DX11. I did note however some minor performance gains in two DX10 titles, Crysis and Company of Heroes... substantial, but nowhere near this incredible jump by DiRT2.

Interesting.....

Hmm wow great news. I updated to 10.2 for the dirt 2 gains nice to see they pushed it even further on 10.3

I wonder if I will like this bezel management method better than the TH2G extending the resolution surley will make it harder to have it work with each game because some games may not support the new resolution and also some games that we hack the FOV based on the normal 3x16:10 or 3x16:9 monitor resolutions will be slightly off.

Honestly what has me most concerned is the performance drop. I would like it if they also gave the option to just cut the screen like the TH2G but I guess that may be harder to impliment for them or just asking too much.

any active dp to dvi blinking issues with 10.2 and 10.3 just bought a sapphire 5970 and a bizlink mini dp to dvi active adapter just wanted to know if this is going to work out.

i was going to wait for the nvidia solution but i heard these driver updates solved the problem

Ok I've been posting in that Rage3D thread and it looks like those of us with non-identical monitors are going to struggle at the moment. Mine have just a slightly different size, which it seems is enough to cause the bezel compensation malarkly a problem...

HP LP2475w --- Screen size.............. 540 x 350 mm (25.3 in)
Samsung --- Screen size.............. 520 x 320 mm (24.0 in)

What's weird is that there's no way my hp monitor is 25.3 inches! My tape measure says 24.0 spot on (so does hp). I'm a bit new to this EDID stuff...is it possible for it to be wrong from the factory?

I have also had this problem, and started a new thread describing what I did to fix it. See here:

I hope this helps you out.

I just posted some benchmarks that some some major improvements in some newer titles between 9.11 (I realize that is quite old) and 10.3 Preview.

http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/WS_and_WTH_Benchmarking_-_Radeon_HD_5870_1GB_Driver_Comparison

Good to see that performance is moving all with stability (see the article) and features.
