Based on the results of our recent poll regarding a WSGF MMO Guild, we are relaunching the Guild Wars Guild. Hopefully folks will jump in with the first game, so that we can get some play time in before Guild Wars 2 launches. We will also look into setting up a private WSGF Guild Wars 2 PVP server, when the sequel launches.

Widescreen 16:10 users may be experiencing a Vert- (zoomed in) gameplay in this just released title. This Vert- behavior could be changed in the Beta to desirable Hor+ (horizontal component of the FOV expands, while the vertical component keeps exactly or roughtly the same) by increasing the FOV by 10 degrees to 80, when comparing to a 4:3 resolution at default FOV 70, but since this FOV adjustment can't be achieved in the final version using the in game menu, these users must manually edit a .ini file.
Also, multi-monitor users still have to "force" the resolution using the console or by .ini editing.
Please dont miss the game's Detailed Report for all information.

Thanks to new forum user Garden for this solution, now you can finally play Dead Island at multi-monitor resolutions without the scaled HUD and crosshair, and all the menus will be accessible using the mouse cursor ! All that is needed is to download a small file, please check the game's Detailed Report for all information, under Multi-Monitor Specific Solution.
You can discuss this fix in this thread at our forums.
Update: ViciousXUSMC has posted a gameplay video showing Gardens fix in action.

It was announced this week that ArenaNet will be allowing private PVP server for Guild Wars 2. This is a ground-breaking move from the company that introduced the first free-to-play to North American audiences. I will be looking to host a GW2 PVP server here at the WSGF when the game launches.

The beta offers native support for widescreen resolutions, but has a mixed screen change behavior.
It is Hor+ at 16:9 and wider resolutions, but Vert- at 16:10, when compared to 4:3, running the same FOV (can be changed in "Game" menu). Multi-monitor resolutions require a .ini edit, or console command, to be achieved.

Thanks to everyone who donated in our donation drive for DelPHiuM. The ChipIn widget clocked in at $615.50, plus there is a $70 eCheck waiting to clear PayPal. This puts our total at $687.50, more than 2/3 of the way to our goal of $1000. The goal was lofty, and I knew that from the beginning.
