Flight

Games where the player flies an airborne craft - plane, helicopter or spacecraft. Flight games are usually either in the Simulation category or the Arcade category. Simulations pay close attention to the details of the craft they are modeling, and follow realistic laws of physics. Arcade flight games tend to forgo attention to realistic detail in favor of fast-paced, arcade-like speed and action.

Microsoft Flight

Microsoft Flight is a free to play flight simulator very reminiscent to the older Microsoft Flight Simulator products. This one is based around Hawaii and lets you just fly about, do some geo catching, or fly online with others via multiplayer (GFWL).

While the title is indeed free to play, the catch 22 is that if you want additional planes or areas its DLC that you must purchase.

Take On Helicopters is an upcoming helicopter game from independent Czech development studio Bohemia Interactive. The game will feature large open world terrains based upon real-world North American and South Asian terrain-data. In campaign player takes the role of a civilian helicopter pilot named Harry Larkin whose aviation business is struggling through hard times.
