The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.” ~Samuel Johnson

please bear that in mind when replying, i'm BRAND NEW to multi monitor gaming.

before we start here's my technical stuff you may need?

i5-4670k @ 4.2Ghz w/ Evo 212 aftermarket air cooling.
8Gig Ram
Sapphire toxic 280x o/c @ 1200 / 1600.
MSI Gaming G45 m/b

Current set up:
DVI-I to DVI-i x 2
HDMI - HDMI.

= 3 monitors working in windows.

I can get eyefinity working with this current set up for counter-strike Global offensive. (Jeeez was the profiles difficult to set up !!!) i've also got metro last light running @ 5760 x 1080

i understand that for eyefinity to work correctly, i need an 'active displayport adaptor' so i bought one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1206807845 (Active Mini DisplayPort DP to HDMI Adapter) which i assume will enable my other games to work in eyefinity?

http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/ ... ies.aspx#5

This states

AMD Eyefinity Technology (Maximum displays)
R9 280X
Monitors: 3 with DVI/HDMI, 4 using DisplayPort, 6 with an MST hub

All help appreciated.

Thank you.

Not sure what the question is.

But I think, 1 of your 3 eyefinity monitors must have a display port on it to use or you must use a amd approved active display port adapter.

to clear my question up:

i have a 280x and 3 x non DP input monitors. i'm using 2 x DVI-I and 1x HDMI, eyefinity seems to run fine.

i think this is down to the 280x not requiring a DP connection for 3 monitors - is that correct?

AMD said the new 280X can do 2x DVI+HDMi, the old rebranded 7970 can't.

But if you have them running in Extended (not cloned!) mode that is fine! This shows the hardware is working as it's supposed to.

If i get you right, you have problems of getting CS:GO running in Eyefinity ? Thats it ?
