Since this game is based on unreal-engine it seems to share the vert-fov for multi-monitor-setups out of the box...

TO (ALMOST) FIX THIS:

1.) Go to "C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Rise Of The Triad\ROTTGame\Config"
2.) Open "ROTTEngine.ini"
3.) Edit:

[Engine.LocalPlayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV

to (changing "X" to "Y")

[Engine.LocalPlayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

This somehow unlocks the horizontal fov while locking the vertical one.
Weapons stay vert- but its playable that way ;)

There are a bunch of other fov-related settings in the other ini-files which may help with fine-tuning.

I did this too, and can confirm it becomes playable - Hayden said that he may have a look at it, so hopefully with his skills he will fix the rest of it :)

seems like the HUD is entirely screwed too, didn't even realize there was a HUD.

Ah, that would explain the lack of HUD. And here I thought it was one of those "minimalistic" HUDs.

Spoon said it crashes tho? I did get 1 crash out of about 5-6 launches... probably just injects a little bit too fast.

Hm, well I didn't get any crashes. However, I'm not sure if it does properly inject FoV changes. It seems to limit what I can do to the game's FoV via the game menu. Trying to change it though flawless doesn't seem to do much.

After the initial crash it seemed to work fine. As for the FOV not seeming to work - did you make sure you change your .ini back to original form - or delete it like I did.
