hello,

This afternoon, while I mounted my other pc, I heard it this pc which was the sound of connection and disconnection device.

At first, I thought to myself "surely an update to a device ..."

Returning to my office I see two desktop at 1920x1080 and the other in 800x600 (the mini DP).

I go to display setting and no way to change the resolution. I unplug my monitor and my graphics card and now I reconnect the mini DP is not even recognized. So I have a monitor that shows nothing, it is black.

I already had a concern as its with my old Samsung (I have 3x 23 "LG), but the Samsung was all in VGA to DVI - VGA to HDMI - VGA to mini DP.

Here with my LG they are all digital DVI to DVI - DVI to HDMI - DVI to mini DP.

Its a do it all alone, I have not touched ... I tried to put my graphics card to another PCIe slot, same thing. I tested the 2 port mini DP, uninstalled the ATI drivers, cleaning with CCleaner, re installed the drivers CD that came with the gpu, Updated at 12.4 and 12.6 and I even reformatted my pc ...

What can I do? It was okay since I had (3 months).

thank you :S

PS: Sorry for my English, I translate with google.

PS 2: the DVI to mini DP connector is a ACTIVE connector.

It sounds like a bad adapter, try using the adapter with other monitors and see if it's recognized to make sure.

I've tried that too. None of the three monitors is recognized with wearing mini DP.

An adapter will break for no reason? I was not into games or watch ... the pc was just on the desktop for a minute without my face moved the mouse ...

I received my DVI to mini DP.

The 2-port mini DP to my graphics card works. But another worry: when I connect 1mini DP and 1HDMI , the monitor turns off the DVI port.

The monitor is turned off on the CCC recognized but not the lights .. Unless I disconnect either the DP or mini HDMI.

I put some screens of the CCC and set display windows. All monitors in the device manager is detected to be enabled.

Thank you for your response.

Sounds like Passive adapters.
