Ok I can't seem to find a "search" function so I'll start a new post (am I blind?)

Picked up a XFX 6970. Have 3 VGA monitors (old-school 0-input-lag CRTs.)

Two monitors hooked up via DVI->VGA adapters.
Third monitor hooked up via mini-DP -> VGA adapter.

Seems the 2nd DVI port isn't working. Is my card screwed up or is there some kind of limitation in using DVI->VGA adapters on the 2nd port?

What's killing me is if I do a search on Bing or Google - I get back a lot of results that point me to the AMD forums... and they're all broken links!!!

Thanks everybody for your help.

Well, if you're not using the HDMI port, the two DVI's should work fine. But since it's VGA, I'll see if I can find something. Though in theory there should be no problem using both DVI's and a mDP port.

the 6970 has 2 dvi ports, 1 dvi-i and 1 dvi-d (dvi-d does not support analog signals and will not run a Vga monitor)

That's quite logic actually. I learn every day here :)

Thx for the comments and clarification.

Guess I'll pick up another mini-DP to VGA adapter and run it that way.

Wait what? You mean mini-DP to HDMI active adapter. VGA is something completely different! Source (Dutch page)

Moose: He's using VGA monitors. mini-DP to VGA (D-Sub) will work fine for him.

As Davros points out, the 2nd DVI port is a digital only port.
If you get another mini-DP to VGA adaptor, you should be good to go :)
