Hi .. Here is my issue. I have a 6790 graphics card, try to connect 3 monitors. My setup is

monitor 1 DVI-I to VGA
monitor 2 HDMI to VGA via active adapter
monitor 3 miniDISPLAY to DVI via active adapter
Now when i have two monitors connected ( number 1 and 3) everything works fine. But when i connect the monitor 2 the monitor 3 is disconnected and cannot be detected. If i disconnect monitor 3 and re-connect monitor 2 the pair of monitors works fine.I think something happens between the HDMI output nad the miniDISPLAY one.I tried different screen resolutions but no result.Any ideas??

What exactly are your three monitors? Are they all the same or a mis-match of varying sizes?

Is your miniDP active adapter one that uses a USB power connection? If not, this may be the problem. Several of those adapters were not working properly. If it IS one that uses a USB power connection, try unplugging it and then plugging it back into the USB port to see if it triggers a response.

Well one monitor is 19" narrow and the other two are 22" wide but this does not appear to be the problem because each one monitor works fine on its own.And two monitors work fine in eyfinity. The problem appears only in three monitor in eyfinity. The adapter is an active one. Maybe some settings in catalyst need to be adjust??

So, are you saying that you are trying to set up a 3 display Eyefinity using Landscape--Portrait--Landscape?

If this is your setup, Eyefinity does NOT support this type of configuration. All must be of the same orientation. All must be Landscape OR Portrait.

No no i dont mean this. All my screens are in landscape configuration. what i mean is that i have 3 screens. 1 in DVI , the 2 in HDMI the 3 in miniDisplay port.
When i use only 2 of them , eyfinity works just fine. But when i connect the third one. then one of the screens becomes identify but not active. I cant extend the desktop in it and when i try so , a message says "unable to keep the screen settings"" Thatsthe problem. Any ideas??

Is it the mini-DP monitor that keeps doing this?

When setting up Eyefnity all three screens should be CONNECTED but only one should be ACTIVE. Then, when you go to setup Eyefinity via CCC, you will get the 3x1 option to configure them. For Eyefinity there is no EXTEND mode that I'm aware of.
