I am thinking about having a five screen surround gaming setup. Do any games even have a hope of supporting it because from what I understand most games have an FOV of 90* per screen so five screens would put the FOV at over 360* could someone with a triple widescreen setup run a game like in 3200*480 windowed and tell me what happens?

I would not just be doing this for gaming, I love having lots of screen realestate and this would be a great way to do it.

BTW I would do it with an NVIDIA card with dualview and a THTG and a DHTG for a total of five screens.

What I think would be really cool would be to start out with three screens then go to five and then put three more on top in the future, THAT would be really cool.

Cool would be to have screens on the ceiling and the bottom

Nahh the FOV won't even be over 180. These pics are not 3200x480, rather 4000x600. (five 800x600 screens' worth)

Hmm I find that strange, perhaps the game has an FOV cap or I am wrong about the normal FOV for a FPS? Either way thankyou very much. BTW was that Halo PC?

Yeah. Halo PC with a FOV hack. The hack keeps the HUD from streching like it usually does. By default, the game's FOV is something pretty low... 75 maybe, and the wider you get, the more the top and bottom get cut off.

Could maybe try in UT2004 or another unreal (not v3) engine game, UT2004 has lots of fov and res settings, could try to get that, Though I think theres a limit to how far 'behind your ears' the fov lets you see. I don't think I get 300+ degress even with a 200+ fov used in a regular 4:3 res.

Did you make the screenshot?

It did run in SoftTH mode, didn't it?

I could try UT2004 tomorrow, but its a massive strain on the eyes doing anything at that resolution.
