Umm...this is not a proper fix by any means.

The FOV is too zoomed in once you have patched the exe to the resolution you want.

You actually get LESS viewing area using this UW patch.

Pic shows 19x10 and 12x10. Also it does stretch the screen.

well looks good to me and other people. better then nothing. untill you give somethin better this stays.

anyways, this does not look streched to me.....only the hud looks like it and doing this kind of thing to lots of games has the same result.

its only zoomed in a tiny tiny bit..nothing even to fuss about...im sure lots of people would rather play it like that at thire native rez then scaling it from whatever, causing everying thing to look awful (look at 2nd pic in first post)

Yes, looked at your pics and actually done this patch myself. See my pics for accurate comparison. You do not show the exact same scene, mine above do. You get LESS viewing area cause it is zoomed in, not more.

THIS IS NOT A PROPER SOLUTION, PERIOD.

Hi guys ... thanks for this fix .... :)

Unfortunately the top and bottom are chopped off for all camera views but the width is the same ... so it isn't a complete fix as Destroy says.
However I am in agreement with drag0nzord ... it is no big problem and only the HUD is stretched ... but ... it is a matter of opinion.
... if you like it ... Great !
... if you don't ... then stick to stretched 4:3
It is up to you ... :)

At least we have native resolutions and I think it plays OK... ... isn't that what is important ? ... although I would prefer it if the top and bottom were not chopped off ... :D

Please note that if you take screenshots before and after a fix (for any game) you should try to take them with things in the same place as best you can (in this case with the cars stationary on the starting grid.) ... that way everyone can see exactly what is going on. Also please try to use scaled down screenshots or thumbnail links as large screenshots can't fit on to most peoples monitors and it means that you have to keep scrolling left and right ... a bit annoying if you have a small screen ... ;) ... thanks ... :)

Some comparison screenshots of each camera view ...
Why the shadows from the trees are in different places after the fix I don't know ... :?
