I find it kind of a bold move for Sapphire to claim that they "Solved the Eyefinity issue!" when in fact this adapter was available way before DEC 14 2009.

"Now SAPPHIRE has introduced an active powered DisplayPort to DVI converter".

I kind of think this is misleading. The credit should go to the people that really introduced it. and really . you cant tell me that they Tested this thing before putting there Sapphire sticker on it.

With a Sapphire card and a Sapphire adapter, there really won't be anyone to blame for any perspective problems will there? Other than Sapphire of course! Hopefully they've tested it on a ton a different monitors and resolutions.

If they are charging 80$ for the damn thing, I could see a flaw in their "solution".

Good point, they may of just opened up a box of worms for themselves.

I'm just taking a wild shot in the dark here, but I don't think they tested thoroughly. If they did put it though the ringer testing it in multiple situations. I think they would of thought again about slapping there sticker on it and putting it out to the masses. and then claim it was there brain child.

How Disapointing, but expected.

I've been OOGLING eyefinity for a while, and have just finished testing three games with SoftTh and Dayum, i friggin love triple 24" 5760x1200.

My final setup should be 3 24" displays in eyefinity with an additional Nvidia graphics card with modded drivers for Physx, With a Logitech G27 for racing games, but after all the reading i've done and preliminary 24 hours of testing with a 5870, i am not super excited with all the potential issues and random costs involved if something does not work well.

Doesnt look like the 30-40$ price target for the sapphire adapter will be reached soon. :(

Maybe i will just go 5870 + Nvidia card + Softth, although that has its own set of problems. (aka some games not liking softth, two different GPU brands with no support for Cuda, etc)

(Aside - Joke)
So, what are you guy's New Years Resolution(s)? Mine is going to be 5760x1200 and 1920x1200x3!

Happy new years guys!
