Updated my drivers (was using some July drivers) to 9.9 earlier today, then tried my TH2Go profile (wasn't working). After I went into the settings for myself, the maximum resolution it was letting me pick was 2400x600. And even though I already had a Th2Go profile which specifically said use 3840x1024 activating it did zilch.

Nice job ATI. Way to break what was working perfectly for years.

From what Dave Baumann has said, I don't think it is deliberate. Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that currently, only 9.7, 9.8 and 9.9 have proper TripleHead support.

So I take it creating a custom resolution with PowerStrip is a no-go? I wouldn't mind trying it out if someone gave me all the timing parameters.

Or I guess I can downgrade to an older driver version... To be honest I really don't like the new Catalyst panel anyway, what kind of moron thought it'd be a good idea to make everyone click to open a menu time to access what used to be in the left tool pane?

After reading that thread before I thought they were only talking about the 5000 series not properly supporting Th2Go (if I had one of those, I'd just use EyeFinity too, but alas I'm on a 4870X2).

I think the best bet, at least until we get some more info from Dave Baumann is to use an older driver. It's kinda like the latest nVidia drivers that seem to be giving TH problems too. :(

I'd have no idea what custom timings to give you, to be honest. :( Although if you feel like giving it a go, it'd be good to know if it stands a chance of working.

So much is in flux at the minute, it's a risky time to be doing any updating... I tried updating my laptop drivers yesterday. That was a whole lot of fun I don't want to have to go through again...

Ok oops, I actually updated to 9.9 not 9.11. The date was 9/11.

If 9.9 is supposed to have Th2go support, then why don't I see my resolution in there anywhere?[/list]

I don't know. Try 9.8?

To be honest, I'm flying blind when it comes to TripleHead.

Well I downgraded to the exact same version of the driver I had before, but it didn't help. I didn't use a driver cleaner or anything so that might be a part of the problem. Is there a free driver cleaner for Vista that would work with ATI drivers?

I use this one. However, it should only be necessary if switching from ATi to nVidia or vice versa.

Can you rollback the drivers to the ones that worked? :(

Ugh, well I tried using a driver cleaner, no go, still showing 2400x600 as the maximum res.

Would anyone with 3840x1024 be kind enough to download PowerStrip and save all the timing informations and post it here?

The new drivers 9.9 and 9.10 won't work with 3840x1024 only up to 2400x600 . Its a driver problem and I've been waiting for ati to fix this problem but they don't seem to be in a hurry.
I will switch back to 9.8 and just delete the driver and the control center trough "controlpanelprograms and features" it works for me dun it severeal times. Hope ati adresses this problem soon because its just sucks to be forced to use out dated drivers. will post if i find a fix. Hope the new 10.xx drivers will be ok but don't know when they will be out. (i have a analoge th2g too)
