Just got home & trying to setup this TH2G & things are all out of wack. I have 2 - 22" monitors and 1 24" monitor I set at 1680x1050. the two 22" are normal, but the 24" is scrolling fast. what am I doing wrong.

I am new to this & have read some notes on here, but I really need to be walked thru this.

I have 2 8800 GTX in SLi & running off a 780i board.

i installed nvidia driver 190.56 & updated the firmware & desk power mgr.

I am at a lost, please help.

Could you explain what you mean by "scrolling fast?"

If you have two 22" monitors and a 24" one at the same resolution, the 24" one will have panning motions (in games for ex.) appear to be faster because there are more pixels per inch, and so the same screen would move faster across the larger area.

Ok this is what has happened.

I had a 22" in port 1, a 24" in port 2, & 22" in port 3 on TH2G.

Nothing was displaying right & 24" was scrolling bottom to top over & over.

So I took out the 24" & pluged the 22"s in port 1 & 2, did setup wizard & everything was fine & it said i could do both displays at 1680x1050. But when I rebooted, the 22" display on port 2 would not come on. 22" on port 1 was at 1680x1050.

So I turned off computer & unplug TH2G & put the 22" displays in port 1 & 3 on TH2G. Turned back on & both displays work great at 1680x1050, so screen res on these two are now 3360 x 1050.

Is this the way to hook up 2 displays on a TH2G? Use port 1 & 3

I just ordered another 22", because it seems that the TH2G did not like my 24" monitor even though the settings were at 1680x1050.

Did I possibly mess up port 2 on the TH2G with hooking my 24" to it? or will it be okay when I get another 22" for it?

I know I sound like a noob, because I am with this thing, it scares me because it costs so much.

Thanks again for all your help

First off, dont worry you will not have messed up your TH2G by plugging in the 24" monitor.

This sounds to me very much like the 24" monitor is not supporting 1680x1050@57hz, i would suspect that once the new 22" monitor is plugged in (assuming its the exact same model as your other 22's) it will work just fine.

If you are going to use your TH2G with 2 monitors, they are plugged into ports 1 & 2.

Your going to have to wait for the 3rd monitor till you can see if all is ok. if not post back here with the following info:

Matrox Power Desk Version
Nvidia Driver Version
Model Numbers of Monitors
Exact problem (screen shots if needed)
edit: Firmwave version number on your TH2G

I'm sure with this info some1 can help you out.

matrox powerdesk - 1.03.0020.0617 2.05 GXM/VEOS
Nvidia driver - 190.56
monitors - ACER V223w
Firmware version - 2.3.40

works fine with two monitors pluged into ports 1 &3 now with 3360x1050 res. but I try to plug monitors into ports 1 & 2 & port to monitor goes out.

I have ordered another Acer V223w monitor hopefully be here by Friday for the weekend.

Thanks again for you help

Ok, got the third monitor hooked up & i am stumped!

The only res i can get working is 1280x1024 @60Hz on all three & it looks funny on my 22" widescreens.

Once again, I am using the following:

matrox powerdesk - 1.03.0020.0617 2.05 GXM/VEOS
Nvidia driver - 190.56
monitors - 3 x ACER V223w
Firmware version - 2.3.40
Windows 7 64 bit
2 x 8800 gtx in sli
680i board with core2 quad @ 2.4 Ghz
4 gig ram

The wizard shows me I can select 1680 x 1050 on each monitor at 55 hz, but when I select that it come up with a widows error on Applying mode while configuring.

Even selecting 1440 x 900 @ 60 mhz gives me an windows error on applying mode.

I have tried to add a custom res in nvidia control panel of

5040 x 1050 @ 57 Mhz
5040 x 1050 @ 60 Mhz

I select test & I can only see about 1 inch ot the top of each monitor. I have to reboot to get back where I am at again.

Please can anyone help me out. I have looked alot in these forums & all I am getting is confused with all that is needed to be done, with which driver to use to what to set manually & what not.

I do see that these monitors were in the known to be working set, but with a question out beside them.

Please someone help me. I am at a LOST now.

after losing a monitor (I dropped it durring a move) I tried running 2 monitors off of 1 and 3. It worked fine for desktop but playing games the center was gone. I tried 1 and 2 and like you I lost my second monitor. I finally took out the th2go and ran my 2 monitors from the 2 outputs on my card, but I can't get games to play on both. Vista 64 with ati 4870. I have given up untill I can replace the 3rd monitor and get back to what th2go was designed for. Someday we will have Halo-decks so I'm not too worried about these minor setbacks.

Ok, after playing around with the different res on the setup wizard, I got one that finally fills out my screens, but damn it is not what I want. It is 4080 x 768 @ 60 Mhz.

I need some Jedi guidance from someone that has been there & done that.

If I need to send some money for some help where do I send it?

Is there donations I can make to this forum to get some advice, who do I bribe? Beer, Women, Money, what will it take.
