Hello to all. I just found this wonderful site and suddenly feel that it may be all worthwhile again !
I have a Triple screen setup with TH2GO DE , however , I am yet to get her going fully.
I feel close....real close coach...but the edge of my sanity is rapidly closing in too !!

A quick rundown :
Vista 32bit ,
XFX GTX280 ,
TH2GODE ,
Samsung 2253BW x 3 ,
5040 x 1050 x 57/60 Hz. OSD .... 60 sec Black ! on off..repeat !!

Matrox Power Desk - 1.03.0020.0617 2.05GXM/VEOS
NVIDIA driver - 7.15.11.8250
TripleHead2go DigitalEdition - F.V. : 2.3.40 , V.T.V. : 6.52

I know these are a little dated (drivers) but after updating I was , and still am , worse off.Stuck at 1440 x 900 x (3x1).... this is better than nothing but it just sucks....and since i have tried a couple of fixes (admittedly , at my risk re: drivers ) she all went black and wouldn't come back.So Vista disk ...system restore point ...saved...just!!

The matrox help in Australia suggest this a monitor problem....And Samsung say their monitors only do 60 Hz.

Yet this wonderful site of miracles indicate ...Hope.

Is it OK on Vista 32(Home Premium) ???
Maybe I have to line up the correct (not latest) drivers ???
And yes I have been reading and trying for a week or 2 especially the 5040x1050 threads .

Please please help.
My brain ...shes about to go boom !!
:? Gary :?

did you get beta GXM in the vista sticky ? (sorry don't know if the version your gave is this one or not)

182.50 drivers are the best it seems.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon whismerhill .

I somehow missed that one , but , just tried her then.
Hmmm...
Firstly Yes , 5040 X 1050 does indeed kick in and look great for about ...60 seconds , then she goes black , turn off and on , you're away again !!
My problem appears more centered around the monitors having the OSD warning as to not optimum settings etc , and then going black every 60 seconds.
I'm not sure if the problem is with Samsungs not being able to cope at all , or if it is a problem that can be resolved via Correct drivers and then the correct values entered.
I did just try the vista GXM Beta .... even though the Power Desk is running ,it did the full install ....restart....finish config.... but now when i click on Desktop Management ( I want stop my explorer window going across all 3 screens ) , it tells me " No Matrox hadware detected " - (sic)

Anyway back to 4320 x 900 .

I think I need to read that thread again !!!

Thanks for the reply Sir Drip

Yes ....the list.......I KNOW the list....

The common problem among Samsung Monitors appears to be the -

(OSD Message initially. Press menu to clear or wait 60seconds.)

Yes I can INITIALLY clear the message.
Yes I can turn the monitors on and off and then repeat EVERY 60 sec
But the messages on the monitor list SEEM TO INDICATE - they have it ...they clear it...and it stays gone. I couldn't care less if I have to see the message at start up and then I'm off and going. But I can't get past them turning off then on EVERY 60 seconds.
Thanks .

by "advanced searching" through the forum with category "Surround" for "Samsung 2253BW"
I found this :
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9633

might be interesting to read, I did not follow the links inside it though...
one notably suggest to set up a custom rez with a GDI refresh rate of 60Hz !

Sound the victory trumpets
SUCCESS has arrived (touch wood)

Thanks for the support Johnny....it had to be said !
Thank you very much whismerhill , not exactly the straight forward fix I was looking for , but kept me trying , down the right road.

Clue 1/ - L2Phantom has the same GPU , Monitors , but Vista 64 not 32 . Still, I went with his driver choice of 182.08 and tried GXM Beta to no avail. I then went back to older GXM version.
Reboot.... up comes old faithful...OSD....push menu button etc...wait..... .... ..... 2 minutes of perfect 5040x1050 with no further messages or blackscreens. HA
Time to call victory . I know I still face the next barrage of issues getting it stay that way after each boot , but thanks to the many good good people here , there is a fix for that. I think I will just leave everything on and never ever turn it off (can't seem to think of any problems with that !! lol.)

But again thanks to all who have pioneered solutions and helped.
To Matrox.....stop spending any money on the Australian help line....they are useless.

This site contains Heros
