The Path is an eerie third-person exploration game inspired by the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Send six sisters one by one on the path to grandma's house, and let the story unfold as they wander in the forest and maybe find places, gather objects, unlock memories... or meet their demise ?

About how much of the game is typically spent in first person mode? I need to know this to give an appropriate amount of weight to the FOV flaw that seems to affect everything but first person mode.

Only around 1 minute per character. It's only used as a way of ending each character's story.

Then the majority of the game suffers from the FOV flaw? In that case, I think it should be regarded as a consequential flaw. The aspect ratio won't look right, but it will be closer to "correct" than plain stretching would.

So, grade is C+.

The game's engine, Quest3D, assumes a 4:3 aspect ratio. We tweaked the camera so that it could handle any aspect ratio (especially wider ones). But this tweak was based on trial and error, not mathematics. That's probably why it isn't exact.

Thanks for the report, though. We'll have another look at it. Perhaps we can improve things.
