I just got conformation that at least some of those cards are going out at the sale price. One guy on the EVGA forums just confirm his SSC purchase of 2 just went from processing status to shipping status. At least some people are getting the deal. Mine are still in process though. Man, I hope I didn't mess up my deal by going with the slower processing on free shipping. For whatever the reason I just did the math on all the deals. They were all set to 54% off for some reason. I think I'm gonna wear out my F5 refesh button at the rate I'm at it. Ug, I'm really hoping mine do go through like a few of the others so far. I put through my orders at 1:50am.

Wait a second... you work for eVGA.

WHY are you buying you're video cards?

Work? All mods over at the EVGA forum are from the forum user pool. We're offered the option of doing VoIP CSR work for EVGA, but one doesn't have to be employed by them to be a community forum mod there. You made a bad assuption about my employment. :wink:

As far the EVGA employees getting video cards, they're cheaper at Newegg pricing than the employee pricing program. One of the perks the mods are supposed to have is access to EPP program, but thier pricing sucks.

The 'advantages' in purchasing kit for employees usually isn't very good.

I'm really impressed you picked up those for so cheap, Ghimpi. Want to sell one? ;)

Depends on the item in question.

The US frequently get sales that utterly pulverise any of the offers we get over here. All depends how much shipping would hit for, and whether import charges would make their mark. :(

@Frag Maniac:
As PS mentioned, take it up with Ibrin if you have issues with staff. Going to a length of saying we are not about games, only hardware is really wrong. The whole forum is founded on making solutions for games and hardware is an important thing for gaming experience. I have gamed for 28 years and used most of my vacation after Christmas to game, since I finally could. I'm extremely stretched for time, so that I don't spend much time chatting about a game and instead try to help with the little time I have to make forum members being able to enjoy theirs, isn't a bad thing. Its what communities are for.

We are not ATI campers or Nvidia campers either. When we talk about tech its about what our users and ourself can get out of the techs in games. As you might recall, I considered both ATI and Nvidia buying my current card and will also consider both upon next card.

DX10.1 is not an ATI or Nvidia product, but a Microsoft product. Lack of support of it from Nvidia hurts gamers, because DX10.1 benifits gamers. Here's one example:
http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTYwOCw4LCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

We are not cheering DX10.1 because ATI supports it, but because its benificial to gamers and we want everyone to support it. Period.

DX10.1 does AA more efficiantly (more in a single rendering pass) and uses less resourses being optimized and all. If Nvidia would have supported DX10.1, we might have seen more patches as the one in Stalker - Clear sky. They will support it through DX11, which means that the userbase will be larger on DX10.1 (since DX11 and DX10.1 cards both can use it). Of course thats a benifit for gamers. You might interpete it as a PR for ATI, but for us it would still be a benifit if it was Nvidia only who supported it. You are not defending Nvidia from ATI when you discuss this with me, since I'm in the gamers camp, not the ATI/Nvidia camp. If you go against something that benifits gamers, due to some loyalty to Nvidia, then thats where your loyalty is. With Nvidia, not gamers community. Gamers takes whatever makes their game the best, regardless of brand. Now you spent a lot of time arguing against something thats proven it benifits gamers. For what? Loyalty to Nvidia? Where's your benift? Does it make your games run faster not having DX10.1? Does it help fellow gamers that can use DX10.1? Do you think Nvidia is going to thank you for it? Going against something that benifits gamers only hurt gamers. Its that simple.

My next card might be Nvidia. I don't care about that, since I'm going to game with it and thats why I buy it. Not because its green or red.
