Hi all,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm running 2x8800GT's, with 175.19 vista drivers. I tried updating (to 178 at the time), but lost the ability to run the TH2G and it was a pain to rollback. Can any other Nvidia user confirm/deny that there are more recent stable drivers that work with the TH2G?

Thanks.

I'm running 178.13. No problems. I am not using SLI, though, if that makes a difference.

:welcome

It does. Sorry, I should have been more explicit: Any stable Nvidia drivers after 175, with SLI enabled?

Thanks for the welcome :)

Hi there I am running the latest XP driver....180.84 no probs.

However Vista is a different kettle of fish see my thread here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9330

Bottom line stick with the driver you have or be prepared to do a lot of work with custom res (and some people haven't managed to get it to work)

Yeah, I'm running vista, and 4320x900. So, no joy. Thanks for the link, I did a search but couldn't find it.

I subscribed to that thread, hopefully when a solution is found people will post it :)

Thanks for the reply.

well try the custom res in this thread http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9684

make sure your screen is set to 1680x1050 when you create the custom res, hopefully should work for you :)

I run 180.84's on Vista 32 without any issue except Arma (Armed Assault) which has a known SLI bug in the 180 drivers.

Currently playing Left4Dead and Fallout 3 @ 3840x1024 and they both have been rock solid with excellent frames.

I tried 180.84. While it does do 3840x1024, it's not the right aspect ratio for me. I need 4320x900. Tried creating a custom resolution (as explained in the other thread), still no luck. Back to 175 it is, unfortunately.

Yeah with all the problems from Vista at 5040 and the fact that DX10 doesn't work, my Vista boot partition has been unused for weeks! Also I have opted out of TRI SLI because I am cooling my 2 GTX's with the Coolit dual drive bay cooler...ever so slightly modded (i.e. ripped apart and using 2x120mm rather than 80mm fans...whisper quiet :))
:p I will tidy it up latter, honest!
