hamelmann, before attempting the jump to 5040x1050, did you try 1680x1050 @ 57 Hz on individual screens ?
Disconnect your TripleHead2Go, connect a single screen to your graphics card (what brand/model BTW?), setup the custom resolution and see how it works. If the screen works at 57 Hz but there's a warning message, try to disable it in the monitor's OSD. Can you get a stable 1680x1050@57Hz on any single 2233BW+ or E2207WS ? What happens precisely for each monitor model ? In any event, can you detail your config and OS ?

And check out that logo on the top left, WSGF is Santa Claus ! So keep the faith

Here is my System: DELL XPS720 nForce 680SLI, Intel Core2Duo 6750, 8096MB DDR2 Corsair DHX Series Twin2x 6400, 2x750GB Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD753LJ SATA2 7200rpm 32MB, Gigabyte 896MB GTX260 OC 216 PCIe, Vista Ultimate 64 Bit.
My Displays: 3x Samsung 2233BW, 3x IIyama E2207WS

Yes I try to get 57Hz also on a single screen, but the same happens...
1. On the Samsung 2233BW, after changing the Mode to 57hz, there are 20-30sec. when everything seems to be OK, in that time, the Monitor show the mode 1680x1050 57hz correctly, but after that short time the Monitor-OSD-Message appears telling me:
“NOT OPTIMAL MODE – PLZ CHANGE TO 60HZâ€

To put it in a nutshell...

PROBLEM MODEL:
Samsung 2233BW (works at 1680x1050@57 Hz for 30 secs, then an OSD message pops up and the screen turns black, no way to circumvent it)
Iiyama E2207WS (out of range)

That sucks, I hope you can return the non-working monitors. :( (On the other hand, maybe you shouldn't always buy them 3 at a time until you're sure you've found a model that works at 57 Hz...)

I know some OSDs have "secret" menus, with info on the panel or overdrive options, maybe the 2233BW has hidden features like these including control over this "security" shutdown.

(For example, to access the "secret OSD menu" on a 226BW :
-con & lum at 0
-press Menu
-hold Source for 5 secs)

I have no clue where you could find such info for the 2233BW though... or if it'd even help. :?

Hey, I'm working on getting TH2Go but finding quality working monitor is a pain.

KNOWN WORKING
BenQ G2200W, 1680x1050@57hz (color quality not so great so I'm looking for a better one)

PROBLEM MODEL
Samsung T220, 1680x1050@57hz displays but osd warning screen pops up and keeps popping up every few minutes. As far as I know there is no way of turning it off. Nothing in hidden menu. Help!

My next stop propably is viewsonic vx2262wm. Specs say 50-76 vert freq. Any info on that one?

Samsung 226BW S panel would be ace but its pretty hard to find 3 of those. Would it be worth it?

Hello you all...

Now I'm rescued... I've found a very good working model. Everything is working fine. Its the ASUS VK222H...

So my conclusion:
KNOWN WORKING (very well):

ASUS VK222H :D

PROBLEM MODEL:

SAMSUNG BW2233  and
IIYAMA E2207WS :x

they are not bad TFT's but don't work with TH2G Wide 5040x1050 57hz

The Asus VK222H maybe looks not so perfectly finished, but has a very nice design, VGA, DVI-D and HDMI and Speakers and a 1.3 MPix Webcam build in. The picture looks good... OSD is OK... All three didn't do any Noise and there is no Pixel lost, not a failure of a single one...

Maybe TFT's with HDMI are better for 57hz mode, because they have to work with lower frequencys from Sattelite Receivers and similar things...

So I'm more than happy now... Christmas can come

Now I have time a couple of days to get my games working in HYPER-WIDE-Mode :P

Thank you all, and have nice Christmas

New member here. Doing as much research as I can to prep for getting the DTH2Go.

Just a thought, & I am not trying to promote any one e-tailer, but on the 'Egg they usually list the vert & horiz refresh rates within the 'specs' tab on an item's individual page.

Case in point; due to their really small bezel width, I am looking at the KDS K-22B2W. Stated refresh rate parameters are as follows:

HORIZ: 31 - 80 kHz

VERT: 56 - 76 Hz

Since one is stated in Hz and the other in kHz, I am wondering which I should be paying attention to...although the good news I guess is that the number '57' falls within the range of both sets of numbers.

Thoughts?

Neat bit of info, just tried it on my 941BW and it works, though options aren't much.

Fun to know how many hours it's been used though.

I have 3 Samsung 226BW monitors 2 of them are type A Screens and one is a type C screen.

They all work on the 5040x1050@57Hz res but:

The A type's are giving me the famous "non-optimal settings" message. Gone after a push at the menu button or 1 minute and it doesn't return. after that they work fine and without any issues.

The C type is working fine without that stupid message.

KNOWN WORKING:
Samsung 226BW Type C modelcode LS22MEWSFV/EDC

Anybody knows how to disable this "non-optimal settings" message ?????
