If you sign up for the beta before midnight tonight (EDT), when you get beta access your first purchase gets you a second game for free. Details:

http://www.gog.com/en/intro

I'll report on my experience once I get access.

I don't understand this. Granted those games were great. But last time I tried running a super old game (AOE or something) it was living hell to get it up and running in XP! Unless they make it easy to actually play and install via xp/vista, whats the point?

I assume that IS the point. I guess we'll see after beta comes out and people start buying things.

That is one of the primary things they are actually fixing for these games. They've got the source code and are implementing full compatibility for windows XP and Vista as well as removing DRM. Scroll down the main page for the details.

Then we should lobby them to add WS fixes as well, if we can come up with them.

send them an email. See if we can do some joint venture. Like a small ad on our site for a small ad on theirs, we'll provide widescreen certification if they implement it.
