I let a double post through the moderation queue as they started differently but actually had the same content. Now fixed. :)

Maybe a feature request, check if widescreen fixer is already running, and if so bring it up to front, otherwise start it. :) And it would solve the problem that jayodom had :)

You know... for some reason I never actually thought of that. I'll get that going in a future update. Thanks for the idea.

Just to let everyone know, the latest Black Ops update has broken the WidescreenFixer.

Cheers.

I've uploaded a new plugin for the updated Black Ops MP version.

You can download it at the Widescreen Fixer site:

thought it should be worth mentioning. Valve update earlier today screwed up single play/zombies mode for eyefinity (widescreen fixer), it resizes the FOV mostly correctly, but the hud and just about everything else gets moved/stretched or non visible.

Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but my rig doesn't seem to like Widescreen fixer.

I'm trying to get Wolfenstein (retail) working in Win7. All the changes have been made, but at this point I can't get past a stretched screen. (3x1)

Wolfenstein v1.11/1.2 ( I have 1.2)
3x 16:10
Game Running: Yes (unrecognized)
Fix Enabled: Yes

WSF seems to be working, but as soon as I start Widescreen Fixer v2.3.59 an exception error pops up.

Microsoft .NET Framework

Unhandled exception occurred in your application.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running it as administrator?

It looks like only part of the reading or writing of memory completed, which is weird.

I'll add in more checking for that in a future release.

figured it'd be a good idea to post images of what i'm meaning

these would be the before the WSF was applied:

all stretched out. this is the reason we use the WSF in the first place (for which i am grateful for the use by the way)

here is the after, and what i've been seeing for a day or so:
you can see that the chat/persons is moved to the wrong side of the screen and is not visible

you cannot see how much ammo you have, crosshair for hip aiming is stretched score is stretched, etc.

I'll work on updating Widescreen Fixer for the latest SP update later today. Sorry for the delay.
