I just picked up a new Acer AL2216W (http://global.acer.com/products/monitor/1_series.htm) and have set it up to play World of Warcraft at 1680x1050.

Setup was effortless adn it displays just fine on the screen. The only issue I have is when I walk sideways in the game. it blurs considerably when I do this. Strafing a mob, running at an angle to avoid beign dazed... all cause very noticeable blurring. It does this at 1440x900 as well.

Any ideas on how to fix this and/or what may be causing it? TIA

Not that I'm an expert here, but it sounds like the screen is lagging, or isn't refreshing fast enough. Can you set that higher?

In game rate choices are 56, 60, 72 and 75Hz. Under the settings in Windows, the only option is 60Hz. I've tried various combinations with no change.

I ran my nVidia control panel optimizations and it is set at 60Hz in Windows and in the game. Still blurs when I move sidewways or rotate the view with the mouse.

EDIT: If I set it to in game to 56Hz, it resets itself to 75Hz. Any other ideas?

Do you know of a setting on the actual monitor to change it? Maybe within the monitor's menu? I know my hdtv I'm using is at 60 and I get no lag. I wish I could be more help. :?

The rate is fixed on the monitor menu, no option to adjust it.

I asked some buds who all have WS that play WoW. I use the 2005WFP, and have no issues. None of them have issues like this either. I would consider contacting Acer, or finding someone with that specific monitor and see if they have the same issue.

I took the monitor back, got tired of fiddling with it. Call me crazy, but I like things to work right.
