A very good point Ati75.

I've been using the hex editor on Tiger since 2005 and I knew the Universal patcher worked on 2004. Guess I never bothered to try it with the newer ones.

sorry i hadn't replied in a while, things got kinda busy at home... anyways, i took those spaces out and replaced the numbers with the corect ones and it works... the menu still seems low res, but gameplay is at 1920x1200 and it looks great and great fps! thanks samhain! 8)

You're quite welcome! Glad it worked for ya too! ya the menu can't seem to be changed using this method, but at least you can still see all the options. I was running it at 1920x1200 for a while too and it looked amazing, but my Prescott 3.4ghtz/6600GT setup starts to lag at those types of resolutions. I'm hoping my Core 2 Duo upgrade in the winter will cure all that for a few more years at least.

Yep - the UniWS works like a charm. Just pick the 2004 Custom Menu Resolution and you're off to the races.

dudes, I confess I am a complete DUMB ASS.

I'm trying to get 1280x800 using the hex shit but I am too stupid to get it working.

Can anyone post the line of code needed for 1280x800 ?

Cheers

I cannot get any of the widescreen hacks to work. I tried the UniWS thing, and that didnt work. I set my in game resolution to 800 x 600 and nothing changed. Even when I restarted the game nothing changed. The hex hack also isnt working. And I just sold my 4:3 monitor! I created a golfer and am into the game but its hard to play when everything is stretched out. Can someone develop a hack specifically for this version?

Dude - it works fine for TW'07. I just did it myself. Be sure to pick Custom Menu Resolution (2004 TW).

Its not working. After I patch it, it says successfully patched but the resolution does not change. Also, is it supposed to write to the dll file. Because the only thing that happens in the bin directory after the patch is an undo file gets created. The dll file is not modified at all. I am looking at the timestamp to see if it was changed, and its not.

What could be the issue. The file is not read only or anything like that. Help!
