If you look on BFG's site, they have the actual accelerator card. It states it's PCI 2.0.

Sweet, maybe I can find some way of getting it to fit in my rig. But I may have to use the onboard audio.

The only thing that bothers me, is that there are so many dual core processors out there no, yet they still arent being used to their potential. Couldnt they just use one of the cores for physics? (ok so its not dedicated hardware but im sure it would do the job for now at least!).

And what happened to the cabled version of PCI-E? (or maybe it was PCI-X). A few months ago there was talk about external graphics cards connected via cables! Im guessing thats been put on the backburner for now!

Sound great ... cabled PCI ... 8) ... has to be a way forward ... think of the cooling potential if the GFX card is external ...

True, but i wouldn't like having all kinds off components extrenally.
Imagine having a pc with an external gpu, soundcard and for example a psu.
Thats a lot of junk outside the trunk.
