Since they are Demo's & free - I doubt it but say it is a exclusive demo - then maybe so... :?

Why not email the Starforce site originator or ask that question in their Forum - I'll post the answer up top.

I have another question. There are a few starfroce enabled games (Pariah, Freedom Force vs. Third Reich, Syberia 2) that i'm interested in trying. Can I install them, then use the Starforce removal tool after i'm done and be rid of the potential ill effects - or does it linger in other ways? Perhaps its not worth taking the risk.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, it probably has, but Starforce is only for our lucky European friends!

Not quite.

There are some games that have it, on both sides of the pond. A few of the newer games, though, are only using StarForce in the EU.

I guess without the DMCA backing them up, the devs want extra protection...

Maybe thats why I can't find any Starforce stuff on my HD even though I have Flatout 2 installed..

At this point i'm starting to think that its probably not worth the trouble. I'll keep most of these games at the bottom of my rotation. Its a shame that a protection scheme has to be so invasive, but i'm glad the word is spreading.
