Hmm... I should move my receiver back to the desk too. I had it moved to the top of the desk in order to keep it away from my old 21" CRT. Now that I've migrated to a LCD, I'm sure having it side by side or near each other won't exhibit any problem.

I used to have my headphones hooked up to the receiver too. It was great while it lasted. But at the moment, it's impractical as the cord would stretch quite long from the top, across the desk, and through some rather messy stuff just to get to my ears.

Heh, all that sounds like I should reorganize and do some spring cleaning. I'll get around to that... eventually...

Yeah you should be fine, mines not right next to my monitor but its under it not too far away, and its right under the pc itself.

My speakers are right next to my monitor tho, with a crt you wouldnt want to do that.

I actually use it for the headphones as well as my speakers :D (see pic below) and it's awesome for both, with just the headphones switched on it sounds like my speakers but in my head and with the headphones off it sounds like my headphones but in my room but a bit louder hehe (sound quality is good for both) - the speakers are mid 90s JPW Radius series modified with a pair of Polycell tweeters.
