LuckMC11, are you talking about Painkiller or games in general? For Painkiller the answer was provided about four posts earlier.

Open the config.ini file using WordPad. The default file location is here: C:Program FilesDreamCatcherPainkillerBin. Change "Cfg.FOV = 95" to "Cfg.FOV = 111.002536". Click File>Save. Close WordPad. Start Painkiller. If you already have 1280 x 720 available as an option for your desktop (i.e. it is a valid resolution choice for your video card) then 1280 x 720 should be a resolution choice in game for Painkiller. Choose that and frag away! (Other games, such as UT2004 or Doom 3 require .cfg or .ini file entries for your desired resolution, but not Painkiller.)

Thanks X-Ray, what you said about FOV was said elsehere. I think the problem is that ATI supports digital panel type displays, but not HD CRT when it comes to some of the tweaks.

ATI does have a way of making custom reolutions, but it didn't help. I also tried Powerstrip, the only way I could get it's sizing buttons to change the TV's screen was to go to reverse mapode, whereby the TV becomes the main monitor. The sizing buttons would not work correcty though. The button to shrink V amp would move the screen down, the other buttons wouldn't work either, some did nothing at all.

I'm not liking ATI or Powerstrip at all at this point, or even CRT for that matter. When the LCDs get faster and more affordable, I plan to use one display for both, go back to Nvidia, and forget all this nonsense. I hear you don't even need Powerstrip with the current Nvidia drivers.

Lately I've had problems just getting DVD movies (played on my DVD ROM drive) to play full screen. I use keep aspect ratio, 1280x720@60Hz. Originally Extended Desktop mode worked best, but now I sometimes have to use Clone Dispay mode. I sometimes get the movie showing as a small inset widescreen picture in the center of the screen in 1 mode or the other.
