AMD & HardOCP are teaming up for an event on July 16th in Dallas, TX. I will be attending and would love to see any WSGF members who can attend. We've never done any sort of event on our own, so it would be great to see how many members we can round up.

The teaser from the HardOCP site reads:
Join HardOCP and AMD for a day of gaming in downtown Dallas on July 16th! Raffles and tons of free stuff will be had. Free-for-all headshots will be made. Winners will be crowned. Losers will be chastised! Get hands on with AMD's "Bulldozer" FX processor! Hands on preview of Deus Ex: Human Revolution! Plenty of Fusion, Eyefinity, and Big Screen demo stations. More details coming soon. Discussion. New details start here.

You can get more details at http://www.hardocp.com/news/2011/06/02/texas_gamexperience_july_16, or on the Facebook event page - http://www.facebook.com/AMDHardOCPGamExperience.

The event is at 2616 Commerce Street in Deep Ellum (just east of downtown Dallas).

I could setup my screen there if I knew who to contact. It's a straight shot down I-35 from Wichita.

I visit Dallas every year but timing won't work out for this one, bugger. Would have loved to.

I've sent a message to my contact who is setting up the event. I've directed him to this thread. Even if it doesn't work out to bring your rig, please head down. I'd really like to actually meet some people from the site.

Sounds good. With the time till the event so close I'd think we would need to put together a solid plan early in the week if it's to happen though. I can commit that I can setup the same triple screen projection that was used at the 6800-series launch event in L.A. and at the AMD House of Blues VIP party at CES 2011. The only unknown is the game to put on the screen and the controller to put in front of it. With AMD sponsoring I'm sure they would have a game in mind though.

Another AMD event sounds cool, but a WSGF meet-up is even sweeter! Wish I could be there. For all who can make it, have a great time!
