I know this game is probably not terribly popular anymore, but none of the threads from before have helped at all.

When trying to run Sim City at 5760x1080 it gives me an error "Hardware Driver Error: Could not initialize Direct Draw", then a black screen, then crashing. Has anyone else encountered this problem? And this there a way to fix this? I've seen multimonitor Sim City before, but it doesn't seem to work even with :customresolutionenabled

Running SLI 450s

Yeah, I know they aren't great cards, but it shouldn't have problems with Sim City 4.

Not sure, I can't find any information about it either.

Have you tried modifying the game shortcut to "C:SimCity 4 DeluxeAppsSimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r5760x1080 -introff ?

This may be only possible with the Deluxe version of the game but I don't have it to test, sorry.

I am currently using these flags and playing the deluxe edition.

-CustomResolution:enabled -r5760x1080x32 -CPUCount:1 -f -intro:off

I played this game ages ago, i remember getting this same error msg, i am not sure but i think there was a conflict between SC4 and AA and / or any VGA overclock, can you try forcing AA off and running VGAs at default clocks (in case you overclock) ?
