Ok I know I do this to much but I really do like the reviews and articles on tomshardware, so here is there latest one for NVidia surround.

Frankly, unimpressed.

The make no mention of VRAM effect. And make no mistake, at Surround resolutions, it's VRAM that is primarily the deciding factor there. With the exception of Crysis, where raw GPU grunt also plays a big role. Those GTX460's would have had a far better showing if they'd been 2GB models.

But it does show the 'sweet spot' to be 480SLI, with the option for tri-480SLI if you've got £1500 burning a hole in your wallet. ;)
