Hi Guys,

When I update "upgrade" my drivers I also have trouble re-enabling my eyefinity group, it's like i have to fight and trick my computer into getting it to work again. I only have a small XFX 5450 I know this isn't really a gaming card, but I'm not much of a gamer, but thats not the point

Anyway I'll brake down how I have to maintain my eyefinity group whilst updating my drivers.

1. I uninstall the current driver and reboot.
2. Install 10.5 and reboot.
3. After the reboot, set up my eyefinity group.
4. Uninstall 10.5 and reboot.
5. Install the new "latest" drivers and reboot.

And after the reboot I see the login screen spanned over the 3 screens. If I do this any other way, the group just doesn't work, instead of having the desktop spanning all my screens, they all go into mirrored mode at 600x480. :doh

I uninstall and install my drivers the same way as shown in the little videos provided my ati/amd on the downloads page.

I'm just wondering what methods you all use when updating your drivers and how do you maintain your eyefinity group?

This is what Ibrin told me to do when updating drivers and it worked for me:

Uninstall your driver through control panel
Reboot
Run Driver Sweeper and clean all your ATI driver
Reboot
Install new drivers
Reboot
Setup your Eyefinity Group

All should work fine by now :cheers

Personally...and for many years now....if I'm simply updating the drivers I install "over the top". The only time I uninstall drivers is when reverting to previous drivers. And, I've been using only ATI cards since the mid-1990s.

It seems that most people having problems are those that are doing the uninstall/driver cleaner/reboot/....method.

So, I advise to simply update drivers without the uninstall method. I have no problems continuing to use my Eyefinity setup and have been able to over the past 5 driver updates.
