For those interested on Steam you can get SkyDrift for $10 its a racing/shooting game like mario kart, wipeout, and others in the genre.

Except, well your not racing a car your in planes so you have to worry about not just left & right but also up and down.

I LOVE flying games in triple wide, so I got this title hoping for the best.

Well its not the best, but its definitely not the worst!

Menus and HUD and everything remain centered to what looks like close to a 16:9 orientation. Resolution can be selected directly from the in game options. Everything looked perfect till I got in game and everything was zoomed.

Reminds me of DogFighter but already showing a higher level of support. All we should need is a FOV fix.

I cant find any config files for the game, nor do I know how to find the FOV in a memory editor since I cant find any in-game situation to cause a FOV change to search for the value.

If anybody can help, I would appreciate it.

Skid and I discovered this on day 1 of release on steam.
Both skid and I (well more skid than I) have lobbyed the game Devs here ... http://www.digitalreality.eu/support/skydrift/skydrift-rendering-issue

You can also view the DR here http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/skydrift/en where you will find a temp fix by Hayden for the FOV.

:)

Could someone perhaps explain how exactly I use that FOV fix? The command window that opens when I double click the exe instantly closes and changes nothing ingame as far as I can see :p
Thanks in advance!

You have to run it via command line. You never click on the .exe at all.

I added support for this to the test version of Widescreen Fixer.
