Am I reading your sig right that you have three 5970s, and only getting 70fps in DIRT2? Max settings with some AA?
Not completely, The EK5970 are the waterblocks i use. So i "only" have two 5970's.

Keep in mind i run three monitors with a total res of 5040x1200 what results in 6 megapixels of gaming. For contrast: a single 5970 Toxic on 2560x1600 (4 Mpixel  ) gets 72fps average and a "normal" 5970 gets only 65fps average.. Scaling for Quadfire until 10.7a beta was not really up to par, guess my results aren't half bad! 8)

I finally gave up and swap my 3x1 portrait to landscape - Almost all games are working fine with the 10.7, while none were working on portrait mode..

-> 10.7 are supposedly now working for portrait - Anybody can confirm?

NB: Anytime I prefer to play on 3x1 portrait than 3x1 landscape, the immersion is WAY better as the screen looks huge and cover all your vision, while in landscape it's too wide and not high enough..

Thanks - Pls post once you've tested. I can't launch a single game in 3x1 portrait from 10.4 to 10.7
With 10.3, l4d2 and bioshock were working only, not coh, not singularity etc

I have 10.7a loaded on top of 10.6. I ran a couple of tests (Heaven v1, STALKER, LOTRO) and it's all working in CFX. One problem seems to be when folks have leaked "beta" drivers installed. You might try a clean install.

I have flickering on 2 screens that drives me nuts and builds up my epilepsy - A weird thing I noticed is that there is no flickering on the 'preferred' monitor: in the ATI control panel, a right click on the monitors brings a menu: I switched the central monitor to 'preferred', and now the flickering (one every 10sec) is on the 2 outside monitors.

ATI, please fix this in 10.8; 5970 hardware is good but the flickering and lack of 3x1 portrait compatibility is killing me..

The 3x1-P CFX support was added in 10.7. Are you using any DP adapters?

Nope: 2 x DELL U2410, one plugged with DP, then other DVI, and 1 x dell 2407wfp plugged with DVI.

Anything after 10.3 I couldn't play any games in portrait, not even 10.8 so I gave up and turn them landscape.

The flickering is frustrating; if I setup the left monitor (on DP) as preferred, then other 2 flickers; if I set the center monitor (DVI) as preferred, only the DP flickers..

I'm not sure what process you're going through for driver updates, or if you're using something like Driver Sweeper. Also, people have had issues using beta drivers. It may take a clean install of 10.7a. I would certainly uninstall and user Driver Sweeper at the least.

I followed your instruction and no more flickering!! :bowdown

After uninstalling 10.7 and rebooting, I was surprised to see my computer with a desktop spanning accross 3 screens, while in theory there was no ATI driver remaining.. did a disk sweeper, reboot: desktop back in expected 800x600 or so and cloned on 3 desktop: reinstalled 10.7a and bye bye flickering!

:bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown

Will wait for the next driver revision and user feedback see Iif I revert back to my dear 3x1 portrait mode
