I just d/l 10.5 and tried it with my setup.. Still have the same issue. It does come up and work when the monitor switches resolution or waking up from sleep.

I have 3 dell 19 inch and a XFX 5770.

Anyone tested the 10.5's yet? :)

Downloading and installing 10.5 official now.

I currently use the leaked 10.5 and it fixed the random blinking.
Right now I get expected blinking after quitting games and when coming out of sleep.

Using 10.5s here. Played a while with Far Cry 2. So far, so good.

[quote]No issues here. I'm using a 5970 with 2 dvi, and 1 mini-dp to dvi (apple) and no issues at all with any version of CCC. For awhile, I had powered my mini-dp to dvi from an ipod usb wall unit. But since, I plugged it directly to one of my motherboards usb 2.0 sockets. Still no issues.

What brand card are you using? And what monitors? Which OS?

I suspect it has also something to do with what brand/type of monitor is used..
Still can't grasp why 10.3 has no blinking while 10.4 has. :(

Sapphire 5970 2G OC Edition, Acer 24" H243H, Win7 64bit Home Premium

I have yet to try 10.5. I'm currently on the 10.4 drivers (non-beta). I've tried just about all the 10 series drivers with no issues with each update.

10.5 official are out? Will install them when i come back from work!!!

This sounds promising:
ATI Overdrive enhancement – full support for multiple displayconfigurations

ATI Overdrive has been enhanced – delivering full support for over-clocking
functionality on supported ATI Radeon™ HD graphics accelerators connected to
multiple display configurations

I guess Eyefinity qualifies for "multiple display configurations"?

I updated the BIOS from it's original Sept 14th or so to one from November 12th. So far the blinking seems to have dissapeared.

ATIwinflash is a very scary program, if you happen to use it, and your computer freezes whilst flashing the bios, wait for windows to totally crash, otherwise you'll probably bork your card.

Update: right after I installed the 10.5's this morning the monitor flickered twice. I had to go to work so the new CCC was only installed for about 30 seconds before I turned off my system.

I broke down and ordered the monster DP to VGA adapter from Fry's to test this for myself. I'll report back.

Update:
After nothing but trouble with the accell DP->DVI adapter, I'm happy to report that yesterday I experienced my first flicker-free day of eyefinity. I also played BC2 for over 3 hours straight w/o one issue. Although I can't comment on any other brand of DP-VGA adapters, this monster brand (although a bit costly) is working great.

Same here, but i discovered something.

When is started with Eyefinity at catalyst 10.1 i bought a passive VGA adapter: lots of blinking and scaling problems (monitor did not scale native but only 640x480). After this i bought an Apple active adapter from one of the forum-members..

This one also had the same blinking and scaling problem even with 10.2 and 10.3. I gave up on the Apple and bought the Accel adapter (newest version with mini-DP). This worked perfectly in 10.2 and 10.3.

But not in 10.4 or 10.4a: blinking all the way (like i posted very often)!! I was very happy when i heard that 10.5 was out and installed right away. But again......................blinking

Got to think about all that people with their passive adapters and happily using 10.4 (and 10.5) i decided to give the Apple that was lying around a try:
And what do you know..It works... No blink in sight

Installed the Accel: Blinking.. Apple: no blink. Apple with 10.4: no blink.. i don't get it

So, we should get a different adapter for each driver update then?? :?

Tamlin: are you in the position to try a different adapter?
