Hey guys!

Now with youtube games reviews everyone likes to capture their vids and post them up it's so much fun.
But we all hate when you press the record button your fps seems to take a nose dive, and with running eyefinity 120Hz you need every last drop of fps
to bring you to 120 mark.

Is there any way to capture your vids and still play at 120 fps ?

I'm recording videos with "MSI Afterburner" Yeah... i know, its a OC-Tool. But it's video recording function actually works quite well. Even with 6048*1080pixel. Choose MJPG compression in 25% quality and it doesn't use much performance and videos won't become too big.

Only problem is that you can't directly upload the videos to Youtube. If you click on original it becomes green -.-

I use FRAPS since I'm picky about the initial capture quality. If you do have spare CPU cycles, then Haldi's idea would be ideal since it'll reduce the amount of data writing to disk. While you do lose out in possible visual quality, you gain in being able to capture at full resolution and perhaps at full speed.

Unless you plan on presenting the video in a special way, there's little need to capture at 120fps. You'll need a ridiculously fast drive to capture via FRAPS for just about any Eyefinity/Surround resolution. My rig can't handle 5040x1050 at even 30fps and that's when trying to capture Bad Company 2 footages. The only way I could possibly achieve this is to have a RAID-0 or a SSD drive.
