I doubt it is doing anything.

Ive had my speakers close to my 19 inch dell lcd for over a year with no problems.

I've been trying to figure out a good way to use my TV as a monitor for a while now, but the 720p resolution just wouldn't be high enough to suit me as far as normal desktop use goes.

That's what I get for being impatient and jumping on the LCDTV bandwagon before all the low cost 1080p sets started showing up :(

I wouldn't use a TV as a monitor. Never. Bad desktop usage.
