Post subject:  Feedback of triple-screen users on 21:9 monitors

Hi guys,
I'm new to the extra-wide world and I'm still undecided between a 3x24 FHD or a 21:9 monitor (only for gaming).

First possibility seems amazing but pretty complicated and costly.
Second seems to be a really good in-between but I'm wondering how does people who are used to triple-screen feel about the immersion with a 21:9?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Nocta

I switch between 48:9 and 21:9 and if I had to choose I would go with the single 21:9 monitor. At 2560x1080 the immersion is good enough and you only need a single high end gpu to run at high enough frame rates.

Thanks Wijkert, I think I will go this way then! :twothumb:

Any advice on the best 21:9 1080p available for gaming?
Or even better a good website to get verified infos by myself about the different models such as input lag, Gtg response, etc?

I'd look for the new 34" 3440x1440 panels coming out. LG has one out now. Dell had info leak early in the year.

Yes indeed. I would recommend more then one gpu with such a setup though. Still hoping for a 21:9 monitor with g-sync capability. Might be announced in a couple of month or might never be made, who knows.

I got my LG 34um95 TFT and i Love the extra Pixels and more Space - this Video is a good test:

Personally i hate such features like BLUR / BLOOM / HDR and any other blurry Filters so i turn them all off so i can run this TFT with my single Card GTX770 with 60 Frames V-Sync ON.

I'd suggest the LG 29UB65-P, if you want 1080p.

The best site for monitor reviews is http://www.prad.de.

Anyone actually got experienc on one of these who had a decent tripple screen setup before?

I got 3x 27ich 1080p HP displays in use right now. That new 34 inch LG curved display looks very tasty but i am not sure if it will be a disapointment comming from what i have.

I have both setups at the moment and if I had to choose one, I would go with the 21:9. Its easier graphics wise (but only small amount at 3440 x 1440), no bezels, and the image is less stretched on the outside. It is relatively close though.

I added a middle 21:9 to my old two 16:9 monitor configuration. Add a tablet and a spare LCD TV for something like this:
