Sonic Adventure 2 is an old Dreamcast game that has seen a couple of HD re-releases, and last month it appeared on stream. It's a 3D platformer and for a port of an 11 year old console game, it has better multi-monitor support then most A, AA and AAA titles this year. Cutscreens are the correct aspect ratio and centred, menus are scaled correctly and centred, the HUD is unfortunately spanned, but the game itself is horizontal plus.

While this video can be watched on any screen it has been encoded to look best on a multi-monitor system, so if your running such a system, then select original quality from the drop down box and watch in fullscreen.

This is great. Until now, the only way to play this game in multi-monitor was to use Dolphin and an .ISO of the gamecube game or using the dreamcast emulator. Good find.

EDIT: I will also mention that this steam version has better support for multi-monitors than the emulators. On the emulators, objects / characters stop rendering at certain parts of the screen, where in this version, everything is rendered. Though I believe the gamecube version does have a centered HUD using the emu... not that that matters too much in this game.

That'll be because this is based on the HD re-release that has been on PSN and XBox Live, which I believe was redone a bit to work with 16:9 aspect ratios.

Sadly Dolphin widescreen support is broken now compared to the initial release everyone saw featured here on WSGF. Menu's and items are now stretched and often times menus are not centred also. So anyone dying to play Sonic Adventure 2 in eyefinity should buy the PC version.

I don't remember having any objects popping out of view using Dolphin though but I haven't used it in a long time. Once the emu started stretching the menu's and no more centred HUD's I deleted the few games I was replaying and dolphin. Just using my actual Gamecube again instead on the one big screen..
