The more research I do the more I'm questioning my build path. After watching a video on you tube about upgrading a gaming rig the commentor made some good cases against GSYNC. First was to get a monitor that had a high refresh rate & the second was to get some powerful GPU's. In doing so this would negate the cost for performance of the GSYNC DIY kit. This makes since because if it's not noticeable or hardly noticeable that money could go to good use else ware. I'm sure others have the same questions as I do. Who has been able to compare a high end build, with SLI & high refresh monitors, and without GSYNC? |

not GSYNC. GYSNC is early adopter technology! If you have to ask the question beforehand, don't do it! There sure are some great benefits to Gsync, but now AMD's Freesync starts to roll onto the market. and we don't know how nVidia will react to this. Also... the upgrade kits are horrible. they only work on this specific monitor. so if you do not have exactly t hat model, you're cheaper buying a new monitor with Gsync integrated. |

For me the GSYNK is too expensive to consider, nvidia's take on this is that I need 3 monitors with the tech, then a sli setup that support them. As Haldi points out: "To early" and naturally expensive for what you get, at least for 3-wide. The benefits are small and probably unnoticed unless your used to it. Frankly, screen tearing for some frames never bothered me. So for me it's a waste of money that could be spent elsewhere in the setup. Just my pennies |
