Post subject: | Question about what size secondary monitors to run with a 27" PLP |
Anyone know what size would pair up nicely with a 27"? In the past I tried to run Dell 30" and two 20's but iirc eyefinity didnt support PLP at the time. The 30" died a while back and I gave away the 20's to family. Recently I've picked up the Asus 27" and have gotten the itch to get back into WSG I would like to run my primary monitor in landscape (ASUS VE278 (27")) and buy secondary monitors to run in portrait. I'd like to stick with asus monitors, but open to any suggestions. Here are the sizes Asus offers http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=100006652&isNodeId=1&Description=asus&x=0&y=0 System: i5 750 @ 3.4ghz - 8GB RAM - XFX 6950 (I could buy another and flash them to 6970's) Ive also got the dell DP to DVI adaptor. |

Looks like 15" 16:9's, or 17" 4:3's would fit nicely: http://displaywars.com/27-inch-16x9-vs-15-inch-16x9 http://displaywars.com/27-inch-16x9-vs-17-inch-4x3 |

Be careful though because there are more recent posts on hardforum stating responses from AMD support that PLP is not supported in Eyefinity 2. It will only be custom resolutions but same orientation! Not confirmed yet... but because of this I am seriously considering going 4:3, 16:10, 4:3 landscape. Not as bad as 3 widescreens.. |
