I currently have one Asus HD 6850 and an Asus HD 5450.
I connect three monitors to the 6850 (two via DVI and one to displayport) and one monitor connected to the 5450 (for TV).
All four monitors are 27" acers.
I want to replace the 5450 with another 6850 to run in crossfire when i game, but still want to connect four monitors to it (three monitors to to the primary 6850, and one monitor to the 2nd 6850).
I know that if a monitor is connected to the second graphics card, it disables crossfire – which is fine when i'm watching TV.
But can Catalyst be used to enable/disable crossfire without rebooting?
For example,
Profile 1 (for gaming) enable crossfire and disable 4th monitor
Profile 2 (to watch TV), disable crossfire and enable all four monitors
I just want to make sure, that if i disable the 4th monitor, that Crossfire will be enabled for the other three monitors even though it's still physically conencted to the 2nd 6850 card.
