So I currently have an Eyefinity setup that requires 2x DVI Ports, and 1x Mini Display port. The display port is actually just using an Active DVI to Displayport adapter to get it to work on my 5870.

My question for you, if someone happens to know; how can I get Eyefinity working on a 6990 with 3x Monitors that are on DVI?

The 6990 reference design has 4x mini DisplayPorts and 1x DVI outputs, so I would think that using active DisplayPort->DVI adapters would work.

So basically, I'm forced to purchase a second $99 active adapter?

I noticed that the video card comes with an active mini-DisplayPort to DVI "single link" adapter.

Will this work with one of my DVI connections? :(

This one from Sapphire is only $27 and has a lot of good reviews. It doesn't have its own power source like the more expensive ones, but my understanding is that DisplayPort draws its own power from the motherboard, like USB does. I don't know anything about the one packaged with the card, but it does come with the card meaning you can try it at no extra cost.
