I was playing Medal of Honor in eyefinity mode and all of sudden the computer made the hardware sound. BEE-DOOP. And my monitors went black. I hit alt-tab which threw me back to windows and I had the following message on my screen
The system has detected a problem with the connection between your computer and the DisplayPort display that will prevent you from using the highest resolutions and/or refresh rates.

I exited MOH and continue to have this issue regardless if I have a display group or the monitors in extended mode.
My setup
Windows 7 64bit
HD 5970
3 Dell U2709W monitors
Was CCC 10.9, I ugraded it to 10.10 to see if maybe a driver issue.

I was just sitting here and again the middle monitor makes the Bee-Doop sound and goes black. I turn it off and on and occasionaly it returns, but only for a few seconds.
Now I disconnected the Displayport from the middle monitor and made my right side monitor my displayport one and the middle is on DVI.

Does it matter which monitor uses the display port? If so, I'll need to slide them off the monitor bar to exchange their position.
Is it truely a displayport issue? So far I've not had this problem with it connected to the right monitor
I've got 5yr warranties with Dell, so I replace it?

I got this all the time when using CCC version 10.5 and 10.8. But my games never crashed; i just got the 'bee-boop' and the error window, then alt-tabbed back to my games without a problem. Makes me kinda nervous that i just installed 10.10c though...

Yes, All 3 of these monitors are the same and have 2 DVI, 1HDMI, and 1 DP port on them.

Thermaltake 750W I believe

The system has been fine since I built in back in March

I did the following so far
I swapped the Dell monitors around - problem still exists
I unistalled the CCC 10.10 driver, it put me back to 10.8 - problem still exists
I installed 10.3 CCC driver - problem still exists
I replaced the DP cable with another one since I revied one which each monitor - problem still exists

At this time I have to assume it's the graphics card.
It's a Sapphire HD 5970 2Gb GDDR5 PCI-E (OC Edition)
What's the experience with Sapphire Tech Support. I see they have no contact # in the US. Only email.
Anyone have a contact # for Tech Support in the US

Right now my one monitor is off because it constantly flickers on and off and will even make the other 2 flash on and off like it's swtiching resolution modes.

So I recieved my replacement HD 5970 from Alton Micro. And I still am having the screen flicker every now and then off and on. It never did this until recently.
So what I've done so far now;
Alton Micro replaced the HD 5970 card. Cost $15 dollars to return it. Used my son's 8800GT while it was in transit. I actually called RMA department and they cross shipped the new card after I gave them the shipping information on mine.
I replaced the DP cable. I've got 3 since each monitor came with one.
I swapped 2 monitors around, not easy since they are on the Chief monitor array bar.

Only thing I've not swapped is the DP adapter that came with the HD card. Since the DP port on the HD 5970 is smaller than a DP connector, the card comes with the adpater for it.

Has anyone experienced this issue?
Is it the DP adapter?
