Hey all

I've accumulated three monitors and a XFX radeon 5870 E6, and I only
need the display port adapter. I've got DVI-D on all monitors and a
bunch of the necessary adapters to my mini-display ports on the
back of my 5870 E6, but not the necessary single display port adapter.

I've pre-ordered the Accell B087B-005B at Amazon but haven't heard
a thing about when it will be available--item "not yet released" etc.

I hope??? this is all I'll need, but I'm new at this, but hopeful. I wonder how
long I'll have to wait or if there's another adapter somewhere available?

This adapter DVI-D/full size display port i believer i can use with an
existing adapter from full size display port to mini display port etc. Don't know
but I guess that will work, I haven't seen a non external powered adapter
that is DVI-D to mini display port. Is there one?

The adaptor came in the mail today. I attached it to the existing DVI cable and to that I attached the display port to mini-display port adapter--seems like a lot uh?
But using the Radeon 5870 gpus's and they only have the mini display port connection on the gpu. I opened the Catalyst software and arranged them etc. I got a little
confused in doing that but somehow I got it all working OK. It was straighforward. I'm sure it was just me. Some of the tutorial I've seen on Youtube etc were
different. My Catalyst software only dedected monitor 1, while some tutorials show Catalyst detecting 3. That threw me at first but i just kept going
and eventually all the screens were functioning. At first i could only get 2 screens working. The third screen was labled disabled. I got a little lost here
and just kept fumbling with the Catalyst software and eventually all three screens were working and next it went to the setup portion where it turns
a screen blue and I click on that screen etc. which puts them in the left to right sequence that corresponds. And all seems OK. I'm just using this for the first time. So don't know much yet. It looks fine so far. Haven't done anything
except send this post etc and upload some pics to photobucket regarding same. I do see a little flickering of the screens--once in a while but not constantly.
I'm using 2 XFX Radeon 5870 2gb gpus in crossfire.
