Okay, so I want to build another PC for when friends come over. I'm thinking of going nVidia Surround with this build. I want to kinda do it on the cheap, but not really.

I'm going to upgrade my current rig to an i5, ASUS Board, and 4 GB DDR3.

On the other PC, I'm going to buy a GTX 295, and put my current motherboard, processor, and ram in it. I'm also going to look into buying 3 monitors for this rig. i'm just wondering what I can get on the cheap as far as monitor go. I need them all to be the same model or course, and have DVI. They can be small like 19" but I want them to be widescreen. 16:9, 16:10, even 21:9 and 15:9 are fine. I wont do 4:3 or 5:4.

I really don't get the rationale of spending money on a secondary PC which your friends can use. Why not let them play your main rig which already has multi-monitors? That is essentially spending $1000 ($500 dollars for the second pc and $500 dollars for your main pc).

I recommend saving that money for Sandy Bridge.

Well I'm almost always on my main rig. When they over, there's nothing for them to do. This is actually a common theme in all my friends houses. Also It's good to have another rig for when I do LAN's at my house. I figured why not upgrade my PC, and use the old parts for a secondary.

SLI of GTX 470 would be a nice choice for both rigs imo, its quite cheap and run fantastic fine on surround with the Nvidia solution.

Well now that I'm looking I only have around $600 to play with right now. Prices have shot up a bit since the last time I looked.
