Hello there!

This last weekend my 3D trusty old 3D workstation (Dual Opteron 275 Tyan Thunder MB - 8GB RAM - 3870 X2 - 3670) had a meltdown and cooked my MB and both of my video cards running 3 displays:

1) Dell 3008WFP in Landscape (Middle)
2) Dell 2007FP in Portrait (Left)
3) Dell 2007FP in Portrait (Right)

I've now replaced the MB with an ASUS Rampage Gene and I720 and now need a new graphics solution. I was hoping to install and ATI 5790; run the the 3008 off of the Display Port and the two 2007s off of the two DVI ports... Will this work?

Note: I know that this will not run Eye Finity and I'm not really interested in that, I just want to run the system with all three displays as one continuous full desktop...

Thanks for your thoughts and help in advance...

One monitor off the DisplayPort and two off the DVI ports should work. :)

Not sure it'll be "one continuous desktop" as that is what EyeFinity does...?

I know that you can rotate monitor images in the CCC. I believe you can do it on a per-monitor basis. You should then be able to extend the desktop to the monitors and arrange them in the order you want. I don't have the proper monitor hardware to test, sorry.

Thanks for the input guys,

I have been able to accomplish exactly that with the two cards (4870X2 & 4670) I do want to make sure that the same could be done with the single card and the new technology...

I'll send some questions to card manufacturers too...
