I am considering purchasing the U2410 because I found someone who will buy my current monitor so it gives me an excuse to upgrade

I want to get it directly from dell to make sure I get the newest possible, but was wondering if anyone know a way to get it cheaper than their current asking price of $519, like a discount code or something

Also was wondering if they have sorted out the dithering and tint issues by now?

Dithering and tint are both fixed with Rev A01 IIRC.

Ring them up and ask them their best price TBH :)

Your're a lucky guy with $519. In Switzerland the U2410 is CHF 900 - thats USD 830.- I don't know what Dell is doing with us... :x

If price is an issue then you might also consider the new HP ZR24w.

I use Adobe RGB for pretty much everything. The sRGB mode will give the most accurate color space out of the box (per everything designed for 8 bit-per-channel color imagery), but I like the Adobe RGB mode better - it's pretty close to sRGB, just gives everything a bit more...zest.

I have had no issues with lag in this mode.

If you use the other modes, they are wide gamut and you'll need to color manage your apps or things will look pretty saturated.

You should be able to tell the revision from the box sticker, look for A00 or A01. If you don't have dithering in RGB modes you have the A01 revision.

If you somehow ended up with an A00 (I can't see many still being shipped/in stock) and there is no tint on the screen, I would keep it and simply update by flashing it yourself. I posted a link to the files on this forum if you end up needing them.
