Hi
My card is a 760, outputting [ DVI + DVI + HDMI ] and I can notice some increase on tearing
(Each of my monitors only have 1 HDMI & 1 DVI input)

I want to buy a specific 970 which only has one DVI, one HDMI and three DP.

I've heard some people complaining with tearing issues when outputting from 3 independent display interfaces.
Saying that, what configuration should I output in order to get the best performance and less tearing possible?

1) [ DVI ] + [ HDMI ] + [ Active DP Adapter ]

2) [ DVI ] + [ Active DP Adapter ] + [ Active DP Adapter ]

3) [ HDMI ] + [ Active DP Adapter ] + [ Active DP Adapter ]

3) [ Active DP Adapter ] + [ Active DP Adapter ] + [ Active DP Adapter ]

What do you recommend guys?
Should I look for a card with TWO DVI outputs instead?

And BTW: Does this AMD certificated adapter work fine with surround? http://www.accellcables.com/products/ultraav-displayport-to-dvi-d-active-single-link-adapter or are there better performance alternatives?

Thanks

To my knowledge only eyefinity setups have this issue. Had that problem with my 6950 and my 7950, but not with my 680 or my Titan.

The most important reason to go with a 970 with 3x dp outputs is the ability to run g-sync in surround. If you are not planning such a setup or want the option for later, you can choose any 970 (any combination of 3 outputs).

Ok thanks. [ DVI ] + [ HDMI ] + [ Active Mini DP Adapter (to DVI*) ] will be.

1*) What kind of adapter? Mini DP>HDMI? or Mini DP>DVI? I think I'll go for Mini DP>DVI...

2) All I can find is AMD adapters, how can I be asured they are going to be compatible with Nvidia?

3) Can you please provide some amazon links to a good one?

Most 970's have 2x dvi, hdmi and dp as there 4 outputs. If you are planning on buying one of those, you don't need adapters at all.

But the card I want is:

DVI x1
HDMI x1
DisplayPort x3

That's the reason of this thread. My only concern is if converting from DP to DVI or HDMI will result in stability issues, due to signal conversion latency (>>Tearing)...
That's why I'm asking on this forum an advice for a good DP adapter for Nvidia.

Dp adapters are not AMD or Nvdia specific. Just make sure you get an active one.
Maybe someone else can give you more specific advice. If not, I find that reviews from buyers on amazon are a good enough source to figure out which one to get.
