Hello,
I recently bought 3 displays for some surround gaming, and have been really enjoying it. However when I am in surround I cannot use my original monitor which I have set up as a 4th screen.
(my gpu's I am running are 2x 560ti's which have really shocked me in terms of performance in surround!)

I think I may need to have all my screens for surround connected to one 560ti while the 4th is connected to the 2nd card, in which case I will go out and get an hdmi cord right now to do such. Can anyone confirm this before I potentially waiste time and money running out to get it .

The only other option I know of would be to grab a 3rd card and run it off that, which I cannot fit in my case =/.

TLDR; If I connect all my surround screens to 1 560, and the fourth display to the second will the accessory display finnally work while surround is on?

THANKS
-Jim

AFAIK gt500 series NEEDS 2 GPUs for surround and is only capable of a maximum of 3 screens in surround.
for an additional 4th accesoire display you'd need a gt600series card or a third card!

if you have an unused pci e x1 slot you can use this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005G4 ... UTF8&psc=1

it will fit under a card too if your pcie1 slot is blocked

Ah, bummer I thought so correctly at first =/. Well then I think I may just wait it out for the next "gen" (if re-badge I will most likely stick to this series of nvidia/amd cards) till the end of the year or whenever they are released. I would go with that riser but I kind of sorta do not want to use a poopy card to run my 4th monitor as I would still like to have the option to switch over to it to play certain games at 1920x1080. I guess I'll just stick to switching surround on and off, and enabling sli! It isn't such a big deal just, just a little inconvenient to have to switch over all the time >< but I can live with it for now!

I was just thinking for some reason that If I managed to plug all into the first card that the second card with just the 4th display on it would be able to handle an accessory display, but I'm sure I would of gotten that answer if it was true + Nvidia's site tells me to three way sli 560's to do so! I may switch too AMD next time around as they have gained big traction on Nvidia and their eyefinity seems to have better support then surround.

I have one other question though if anyone sees this, I'd rather not start a post and there might be a guide I have not seen on the forum yet already up for this but... I want to get a new stand to hold these monitors (3x23.6in monitors), however I can't find a single stand that is "affordable" ~$100. I want something that has height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and has the ability to change orientation between landscape and portrait. Anyone have a guide/recomendation they could share with me? :P
Edit: I also do not mind buying sing stands, as long as they have height adjustment, and the ability to change orientations! Just having no luck finding something within my price range...

i really don't think you are going to find a triple stand for 100$.. you might be better off trying to get three seperate "arms" and just spend some time getting them good to go.
I have three of these on my desk at work (where i have a 2d surround setup, and it works great!
http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2

and at 22$ each its within your budget. i do have to say the monitor needs to be kinda centered though, if you move it wayyy out to full extension the monitor tilts slightly to one side from the weight. This can be circumvented with a paperclip or some other wedge, but its easier (And looks cleaner) to just have them centered.

Also i did exactly what you are looking for on my old rig with your monitors. i picked up an old nvidia card for like 40$ second hand, and ran it in tandum with my sli config for surround. It still doesnt work exactly as you expect, as you have to alt-tab out of games to get to it, but it does work, and can be handy.

Also you have to watch, the card i got was pretty old, and when i did some driver updates it sometimes was finicky about installing new drivers since the old card didnt want to accept them.

What CPU/Motherboard are you running? I have an i5 and have been able to run a display of the integrated gpu, have you looked into whether thats a possibility? The 560ti's will only run 2 displays simultaneously (hence why you need SLI for surround) but I don't know about accessory displays as I only run 3 screens. FWIW I have recently upgraded to a 660 and surround support on that card (and presumably all 6 series GPUs) is much better than the 560ti, it still needs some work to be perfect but its heading in the right direction
