Post subject:  Is this CPU I7 920 is sufficient for Tri-SLI GTX 580 lightning?

WSGF Dear users, I have a couple questions.
I set off from the beginning:
I have a Nvidia surround gaming system at home.
specifications:
I7 920 Processor
Gigabyte EX-58 Extreme Motherboard
2 x MSI GTX 580 Lightning graphics card 1.5 GB
Corsair HX 1000W Power Supply
2 x 500GB and 1 x 1 TB HDD
and corsair 6 gb ram in my CASE.

My question is?
Would I could add another GTX 580 lightning in this configuration?
Is this CPU I7 920 is sufficient for Tri-SLI GTX 580 lightning?
Is the power supply Corsair HX 1000W enough for three-sli gtx580 lightning?

Do you have enough three GTX 580 1.5GB lightning that could all play in full on monitors with Dell U2311H rezoluciom 5760 x 1080

Thank you all for help

Yes: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2957#sp see Expansion Slots.
Yes: The i7 920 (the i is lower case) won't be a bottleneck it most games.
Depends on if you overclock or not: Use this to find out http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

And that's 3 questions not 2 :P Also you last sentence doesn't make sense.

The i7 920 won't be a bottleneck if it's overclocked, but I'd be cautious about the PSU not being enough for three GTX580s...

You can check out all of my benchmarks. I have the same PSU & CPU. My benchmarks are on AMD hardware, but it should give you an idea. I'm running Tri-Fire at the moment with a 6990 & 6970.

Post subject:  I already have two 580

I already have two 580 lightning so we are not worth the switch to AMD now, and I have two 6970 and I only had problems so I moved on Nvidia do not have any more problems.
And I think I will now give up a third gtx 580, because we like going all the max setings and Rezolution 6040 x 1080 I just have AA in some games off hold or cut.
Otherwise I am very pleased with two GTX 580 Lightning and nvidia surrround system.
And I think that the third GTX 580 does not provide a big improvement costs a lot

Post subject:  Your PSU is going to be

Your PSU is going to be pushing it with 3 580's. You should be fine under normal gaming loads. However, if you decide to run a graphics benchmark, be prepared for a PC restart do to the PSU shorting. I ran 3 480's, which were fine for gaming, but when you up the ante and try and benchmark I was pulling in close to 1150 watts. Now, remember that I had and overclocked CPU pulling in a TWP of close to 150w + HDD's + 3 480 + and a PCI-E Sound Card.

Post subject:  No problem here running

No problem here running 3x580s on a 1050 PSU. Majority of games it only shows 7-800 usage. Highest I've seen in benchmarks were mid 900s.

You have to take into consideration the efficiency % too.

Post subject:  So 1500W for 6970 TrippleFire

So 1500W for 6970 TrippleFire would be way overpowered? Well... just gotta OC them Hard to make use of the PSU xD
